SAN ANTONIO - The Exceleration Suit is the newest workout invention on the market.
The man behind it is from San Antonio and the suit is being manufactured in San Antonio at the Lighthouse for the Blind.
Brandon Logan is the president of the company. He is a native of San Antonio who went to Madison High School and then on to Grambling University before returning home to put this new concept into motion.
“If you are an individual out there who wants to build muscle endurance, muscle strength, and also help with shaping and toning, this is the solution for you," said Logan.
The shirt carries the revolutionary weight system.
Up to 15 pounds can be put in strategic areas in the shirt -- in the areas of the chest, abs, forearms and biceps. The pants carry weight around the calves.
Logan said trainers are using the suit in gyms. Athletes can run sprints or swim the breast stroke.
It is not just for athletes looking for some fine-tuning, but also for the average person just looking to tune up and tone up.
"Any type of burning you might want to do, whether it's washing cars, walking the dog or any type of daily activities, you can do that," Logan said.
The Lighthouse, known more for military contracts, is now expanding into commercial manufacturing at first "
"I was a little nervous because of the difficulty in it, but now that we are rolling, we are starting to get more excited," said Manny Gonzalez, Lighthouse plant manager.
They are also getting more excited about hiring more people.
"I think we have a wonderful partnership that will be a lasting one, " Logan said.
The suit is available on line at www.srgforce.com.
Logan said they are working on moving into some retail outlets.
